Do dominant socio-technical trends favor cybersecurity?

Synopsis:
In this session, we intend to identify dominant trends in a certain digital technological development, with sometimes subtle materializations, using different authors from the Social Studies of Science and Technology. Based on this identification, an attempt is made to question the conditions of security or lack thereof that these trends promote. For this purpose, the fundamentally insecure role of certain technical devices is considered, which, ironically, do not resist the authoritarian efforts that seek social control.
