This event aims at the public presentation of the results of the research project "Portugal's participation in international missions: the contribution of the National Defense Policy to the realization of the national interest and the production of international security", by the Center for Social Studies, financed by the Ministry of National Defence. The objective is to frame and critically analyze: the decision-making process and the formulation of political objectives concerning Portugal's participation in international missions; the constraints and opportunities arising from their participation in international organizations; and how the presence of the Portuguese Armed Forces in different regional, institutional and operational contexts has contributed to the achievement of national interest and the production of international security.
