About us

FEUC (Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra) is a modern, unique and highly recognised school. Its range of courses is varied and seeks to respond to the expectations of a postgraduate training as well as to the constant renewal of the needs for specialised knowledge.

FEUC stands out for the quality of its teaching, research, and the multidisciplinary nature of its knowledge context. There are four different undergraduate degrees (Economics, Management, Sociology and International Relations) which are combined with a wide and recognised range of Master and Doctoral degrees, being increasingly sought out, and also capturing the attention of foreign students. In addition, there are a number of Specialisation Courses, including two MBAs and several Postgraduate Courses, particularly in the areas of Health Economics and Social Economics.

The School of Advanced Studies (EEA) is a fundamental service in the development and qualification of FEUC's postgraduate teaching. It is a space for organizing Master, Doctoral, and Postgraduate courses.

The work of the School of Advanced Studies is based on a strong link between FEUC and the students, between the University and society. The EEA is more than just a Student Services Office, it manages and monitors about twenty postgraduate study programs, and works closely with the course coordinators, students and teachers. EEA’s mission is to plan and organise, this goal is achieved through its team and in coordination with other FEUC and University services. We offer the academic community an environment of knowledge conducive of personal fulfilment in a context of openness to society.
