The UCILeR organized an event dedicated to Sustainable Energy Day - Citizenship and Energy, which was held at the Trinity College on June 15. This event, unique at a national level, was supported by the European Commission and was included in the catalog of events of the Sustainable Energy Week.

This event, framed within the project ComEnerg, from UCILeR, aimed to present the energy communities as instruments to generate Energy Citizenship, promoting education and articulation between the various actors, in the scope of its constitution, installation and governance.

The event brought together leading Portuguese specialists on the subject of energy communities to discuss the role of these communities and present legal contributions for new sustainable paths. The discussions were conducted under the focus of social justice to demystify theoretical concepts and promote energy citizenship.
