To mark the World Cities Day, celebrated on October 31st, the project Right to Citizenship and Culture promoted a walking tour Alta de Coimbra, for young 9th grade students, to reflect on the city we live in.

Twenty-four students and two teachers from Rainha Santa Isabel School participated in the guided tour of Coimbra's Alta (upper town). During a two-hour tour, which started at the Botanical Garden and ended at the Water Museum, the students reflected on issues such as what is the city, what city we have and what city we want.

Finally, at the Water Museum, the artist Luís Canário Rocha received the participants and invited them to visit his exhibition "De Profundis - Cities in Suspension" and to think again about the city, this time through plastic art.

The walk was guided by Adelino Gonçalves, Luís Paulo Sousa, Milton Pacheco and Cristina Perestrelo, with the support of the Botanical Garden and the Coimbra Water Museum.
