The workshop will consist of the presentation of papers by invited speakers and others proposed through call for papers and respective debate on the proposed themes.

This workshop aims to establish an interdisciplinary discussion - between political philosophy, political theory, philosophy of law, legal theory, legal dogmatics, philosophy, sociology, history, theory of culture, and others - on the current state and future development of theories of democracy and democratic regimes. The main themes are as follows:

  • The evolution of criticisms of democracy;
  • The evolution of alternative models of politics and policy-making;
  • The evolution of basic constitutional norms beyond conventional democracy;
  • The evolution of democracy towards democratic experimentalism;
  • The evolution of political culture.
