This course aims to offer advanced training in issues related to human evolution and human biology, highlighting, in this context, the importance of knowledge of the natural history of the species to understand the present and envision the future.

Objectivos: Este curso tem como objectivo oferecer formação avançada em problemáticas ligadas à evolução humana e à biologia humana, destacando-se, neste contexto:
- a importância do conhecimento da história natural da espécie para compreender o presente e perspectivar o futuro;
- o entendimento do homem como Primata; a problemática das alterações climáticas e as grandes extinções;
- a capacidade de adaptação humana;
- lidar com o ritmo incessante de mudança característico da paleontologia humana;
- um conhecimento aprofundado sobre a evolução cerebral;
- visão interdisciplinar sobre os seres humanos e/ou humanidade;
- interpretar e lidar com esqueletos humanos em contextos arqueológicos.
- Duração: 4 semestres
- ECTS: 120
- Saídas Profissionais: Câmaras Municipais, Empresas de Arqueologia, Docência no Ensino Superior, Investigação, Hospitais, Laboratórios, Consultadoria, Museus.

- Condições de ingresso: Podem candidatar-se ao ingresso no Mestrado em Evolução e Biologia Humanas os titulares do grau de licenciado ou equivalente legal em: Antropologia, Biologia, Geologia, Biologia e Geologia, Arqueologia e Psicologia, ou os titulares do grau de licenciado ou equivalente legal em qualquer outra área das Ciências Humanas e Naturais.
