The Master's Degree in Steel and Mixed Construction Engineering aims to provide advanced training in two areas of specialization: Structural Performance and Additive Manufacturing and Production.

Support for students


1. Support for the payment of tuition fees: Payment of tuition fees for national or equivalent students and/or international students;

2. Support for student living expenses: Payment of a grant to support subsistence (750€/month)*;

3. Possibility for students to work part-time in partner companies;

4. Development of the master's thesis in a partner company with the co-supervision of a senior engineer from the company.

Who it's for

The MECMM is aimed at:

  • Managers and middle and senior managers of industrial and technology-based companies in the areas of metal and mixed construction, metalworking, operations, production, logistics, engineering, technology and innovation.
  • Managers, engineers, entrepreneurs and consultants who aspire to specialized training in structural applications in metal and mixed construction (Specialization in Structural Performance) or to lead the implementation of Industry 4.0, with a strong application in metalworking and metal and mixed construction (Specialization in Manufacturing and Additive Production).

Study Plan

The MECMM is structured in 2 optional branches: Structural Performance and Production and Additive Manufacturing, which aim to develop skills in:

- Design, manufacture, execution, supervision and management of construction works with metallic or mixed structures;
- Production, automation, machinery and robotics applied to the metalworking and metal and mixed construction industry, including design, operation and management.

Career opportunities

  • Performing functions in the areas of metal and mixed construction, metalworking, operations, production, logistics, engineering, technology and innovation.

  • Performance of leadership roles in the implementation of Industry 4.0, with application in metalworking.

  • Participation in scientific research projects.

Conditions of Access and Admission

The following are eligible to apply for the MECMM:

a) Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electromechanical Engineering and other similar subjects;

b) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies, organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process;

c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as satisfying the objectives of a bachelor's degree;

d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies.

The recognition referred to in paragraphs b) to d) is carried out by the Scientific Committees responsible for the courses in question, which may delegate to a Selection Committee.
