The training course in Ecological Restoration of Rivers and Coastal Systems covers ecological aspects related to different types of aquatic systems: fresh waters and coastal systems. It addresses the essential information and methods for designing plans to implement measures for the ecological restoration of water bodies. The contents are taught by researchers with extensive experience in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive and responsible for the development of official methods and protocols and their intercalibration at European level. Essential topics for the preparation of restoration projects or the development of measures plans will be covered, linked to hydrology/hydraulics, biology or services of the ecosystems in question.
