Mountain Lab

The Mountain.Lab studies the diversity and dynamics of high-altitude and mountain ecosystems and their response and adaptation to global change. We are particularly interested on a) the mechanisms that govern the diversity, biogeography and dynamics of plant and soil communities with a strong focus on mutualisms like mycorrhizas; b) the links between climate, microclimate, plant growth and ecological processes, and c) the regeneration and restoration of mountain ecosystems, especially forests after wildfires.
