The Women Robotics Afternoon is a robotics competition dedicated to the female community, which aims to promote STEAM areas at the University of Coimbra. This activity is inserted in the great robotics competition of the University of Coimbra, the Bot Olympics.

In this 8th edition of Bot OLympics, in partnership with the project Equal.STEAM, the UC Women Robotics Afternoon competition is taking place, which is an event for girls and women interested in learning how to program an mBot.

If you don't feel comfortable programming, or have little knowledge, don't worry! We have training sessions and mentors that will support you throughout the event.

Whatever your knowledge of robotics is, we guarantee you will have a great experience!

One of the speakers is Isabel Ribeiro, retired Full Professor from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon. She does research and is a specialist in mobile robotics, a scientific area in which she was a pioneer in Portugal. She is a regular speaker in schools to introduce youngsters to the robotics area.
