The article “Guernica, Lorca and the 1939-1945 Essay. The Spanish Civil war in Portuguese Textbooks” is available in open access. Written by CEIS20 researchers Sérgio Neto and Clara Serrano, the article was published in the journal Human Review, a Spanish publication indexed in Scopus.
The article seeks to understand how the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) has been studied in Portuguese primary schools (9th grade) since 1975. A qualitative and quantitative methodology was used to analyse texts, documents and iconography.
