Funding for Study from the U.S. Institutes

The U.S. Embassy in Portugal is accepting applications for Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) in Summer 2023, fully funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).

Study of U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) are five- to six-week academic programs focused on American studies themes for groups of foreign university students, scholars and professors. Hosted by universities and colleges across the United States, the Institutes include an intensive academic residency, an educational study visit to another region of the United States, and opportunities for participants to network with their American counterparts. The Institutes for Student Leaders also include community service and leadership development activities.

Registration is open until December 4, 2022.
