Call for proposals for the Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition

The next Institutional Call for Scientific Individual Employment Stimulus (CEEC) is available here.

The period for submitting applications runs from 3 February and 3 March 2022 (17:00, Lisbon time).

The individual competition is open to doctoral graduates of any nationality or stateless persons with a degree in any field of science who wish to carry out scientific research or technological development in Portugal.

Candidates must identify in advance the host institution where they will develop their research plan. The selected doctoral candidates will be recruited directly by the identified host institution with funding from the FCT.

The period for identifying the host institution for each individual application is from 4 March 2022 by 17:00 (Lisbon time) to 29 March 2022.

The following reference categories will be considered:

Junior researcher – those who have held a doctorate for 5 years or less and have little postdoctoral research experience in the scientific field for which they are applying.

Assistant researcher – those who have held a doctorate for 5 years and less than 12 years, with a relevant curriculum in the scientific field for which they ae applying, and with limited scientific independence.

Principal investigator – those who have held a doctorate for more than 12 years, with a relevant curriculum in the scientific field for which they are applying, and with a proven record of scientific independence in the last 3 years.

Coordinating researcher – those who hold a doctorate (title of qualification or aggregation) in Portugal, with a high level of training in the field of science for which they are applying, with proven scientific independence and proven leadership skills in the field of science for which they are applying.
