76th International Commission for the History of Representative and Parliamentary Institutions Conference (ICHRPI)

The ICHRPI has opened the call for papers for its 76th meeting, to be held at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Toledo.

The main theme of the conference will be the evolution of representative assemblies from the ancien regime to parliamentary democracies. Other topics will include the Courts of Castile in the context of political representation in ancien regime Europe, biographical and prosopographical studies of parliamentary institutions, and territory and representation: self-government and parliamentary institutions.

Submissions should be no more than 200 words, indicating which of the themes they address, and should be sent to congreso.ichrpi2024@uclm.es até 30 de abril 2024.
