25 and 26 May | Aula Magna, Polytechnic Institute of Viseu | registration is now open

The Directorate for the Centre Region of the Directorate-General for Educational Establishments (DGEstE), the Commission for the Coordination and Development of the Centre Region (CCDRC), the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20) of the University of Coimbra and the Viseu Dão Lafões Intermunicipal Community (CIM), with the collaboration of the CIM of the centre region and their member municipalities, are organising the School Network Congress – 20 Years of Transformation on 25 and 26 May 2023, in the Aula Magna Auditorium of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu.

At a time when a new EU funding framework is being launched, the need to take stock of the past and look to the future is a fundamental step in the process of reorganising and upgrading the school network (1st cycle of basic education and pre-school education) in the first quarter of the 21st century.

The aim of this initiative is to involve all the municipalities of the Central Region and their respective intermunicipal and school communities in sharing their work and promoting their best practices from a multidimensional perspective, relevant to different approaches: reorganisation of the school network, new teaching practices in renovated spaces, financing, technical construction standards, building sustainability, among others.

The School Network – 20 Years of Transformation website is now available.

Registration is now open.
