5 and 6 July | Paulo Quintela Theatre Hall, FLUC

The 3rd International Congress “Territories, Educating Communities and Sustainable Development” organised by the CEIS20 project CoReD, will also include a training course – Transfer of competences in education: potential, problems and challenges, with CCPFC/ACC-115484/22 accreditation, for teachers at all levels of education.

The researchers of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Coimbra, taking into account their long experience in the different issues related to local education policies, will organise the 3rd International Congress “Territories, Educating Communities and Sustainable Development” on 5 and 6 July 2022 (Paulo Quintela Theatre Hall, Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra), which will focus on the “Transfer of competences in education: potential, problems and challenges” as one of the major challenges facing Portuguese society today.

The Secretary of State for Education, António Oliveira Leite, will give a speech on the subject at the end of the first day. At the end of the Congress, there will be a debate between the mayors of Coimbra, Vizela and Fundão, and a presentation by Rogério Bacalhau, representing ANMP, mayors with different perspectives on the issue of the transfer of competences, particularly in the field of education. All in all, the Congress will reflect many of the issues related to the theme.

This Congress is accredited as both FEFAL Foundation Training and Teacher Training (both 15 hours + 6 hours in a focus group to be held online in September) and will have simultaneous translation on the 6th (Wednesday) as some of the speakers will be speaking in English.

The organising committee is made up of CEIS20 researchers António Manuel Rochette, Luís Alcoforado and Carolina Coelho.

Registration by 2 July: register by filling in the form.

Registration for teacher training must be made on the websites of CFP Nova Ágora and Minerva or FEFAL.
