CEIS20 researcher talks to the community about his work on PubhD

In the PubhD section “Three PhD students talk about science in a pub”, CEIS20 researcher Diego Alatorre Guzman will give an informal talk about his research as a student in the CEIS20 Doctorate in Contemporary Studies (DEC). The talk will be on Games, toys and formal systems– Complex thinking applied to education.

“Three PhD students talk about science in a pub” is the motto of PubhD, an initiative launched in 2015 with the main aim of communicating science informally, without the use of projections, in a pub setting.

PubhD Coimbra was created as part of the 2017 SciComPT congress at the Aqui Base Tango bar, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2019, it moved to the LiquidÂmbar, where it remains to this today.

The concept is the same: 3 PhD students present their project in an informal setting. Each session encourages dialogue and exchange of experiences between the speakers and the audience.
