Following the first Community Conversations held in April 2023 as part of the Outreach Activity “CEIS20 Fora de Portas” and the initiative “25 April: Rumo ao Cinquentenário” (25 April: Towards the 50th anniversary), a new Community Conversation entitled “Um D April” (Decolonise) will take place on 7 February at 10:15 in the Auditorium of the School of Arts, Coimbra Music Conservatory. The event aims to discuss with the students of Quinta das Flores primary and secondary school the issue of Portuguese and tropical elements in today’s society (public discourse, education, views of the past). The session will be moderated by António Cerdeira (PNA) and will involve CEIS20 researchers (Julião Soares Sousa, Nuno Coelho and Sérgio Neto) and the artist Jorge Cabrera (CAPC/Anozero).
