Assistant Professor of Classical Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra.

She received her PhD in Greek Literature in 2006, her MA in Classical Studies in 1996 and her BA in Classical and Portuguese Languages and Literatures in 1993 from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra.

Assistant director of the journal Humanitas.

Main director of the University of Coimbra Press series 'Myth and (re)writing'.

Integrated Researcher and Head of the Complementary Project 'Rewriting Myth' at the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies at the University of Coimbra.

Co-coordinator of the Portuguese team from the University of Coimbra in the international project "Classics and Poetry Now", a research group led by Lorna Hardwick (Open University) and Professors from the University of Oxford.

Co-coordinator of the Portuguese team from the University of Coimbra in the international project "Tendiendo puentes desde el mundo clásico: el diálogo como recurso educativo" (Proyeto de Innovación y Buenas Prácticas Docentes Avanzados/ Coordinados 2022-2024, nº22-219).

Scientific co-responsible for the development of the 'Thespis_CECH' database, a digital archive of classical representations in contemporary Portugal.

Research, teaching and publication activities, particularly in the areas of Classical Literatures and Languages, the reception of Greek and Latin Classics today and the teaching of Classical Languages.
