Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra.

He obtained the title of Aggregate Professor in 2013 and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Coimbra in 2004.

Director of the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Information.

Chief Executive Officer of the Executive Board of the Marion Ehrhardt Foundation, dedicated to fostering Luso-German cultural and scientific relations.

Coordinator of the Secondary Project Hermeneutic Rationality at the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies - CECH.

He is the Chief Editor of the Idea Series at Coimbra University Press.

His research focuses on German Classical Philosophy and its repercussions in the 20th and 21st centuries, mainly on metaphysics, philosophical systems, aesthetics and the philosophy of architecture.
