Injustice or the price of arrogance: which led to Prometheus’s shackling? Titan’s pride and resilience is opposed to Zeus’s tyrannical fist, who wishes at all costs for Prometheus to reveal the nature of his future fall. In the scene, the Titan is joined by the god Hephaestus, forced to be his executioner, the wandering Io, victim of Zeus’s whims, Ocean, of dubious intents, the messenger Hermes and the chorus of Oceanids, who offer consolation to his pain.
