The mission of the Loeb Classical Library, founded by James Loeb in 1911, has always been to make Greek and Latin literature accessible to the broadest range of readers. The digital Loeb Classical Library extends this mission into the twenty-first century. Harvard University Press is honored to renew James Loeb's vision of accessibility and presents an interconnected, fully searchable, perpetually growing and virtual library. More than 520 volumes of Latin, Greek, and English texts allow readers to browse, search, bookmark, annotate, and share contents with ease.
The Center for Classical and Humanistic Studies provides a subscription to the Loeb Classical Library's digital library, with access being made through the UC's institutional data.
Step-by-step
- Access the Loeb Classical Library website here.
- Click on Sign in (top left corner).
- Click on Login with Institutional Access.
- Enter the name of the institution (in this case, Universidade de Coimbra).
- Finally, the UC Authentication Server appears. Fill in your institutional email and password.
From here, you can access the digital library freely.
