Synopsis

This book brings together a series of studies in honour of Luísa de Nazaré Ferreira. Specialists from different scientific fields reflect on themes related to Ancient Greece and History, but also to other areas of History, Literature, Politics and Religion. Salamina is the central axis around which Vol. I is organised - literary testimonies, their impact on history and their reception in art and literature. Vol. II brings together various contributions, from Ancient Egypt and Rome to the Modern and Contemporary Periods. The wealth of themes, which cut across time and space, reflects the responses of colleagues, friends and disciples to the call to take part in this tribute to the Hellenist, professor and researcher at the University of Coimbra, Luísa de Nazaré Ferreira.
