WISER Portugal - Welfare Intervention by the State and Economic Resilience in Portugal

Summary

The main aim of the project is to assess if and how welfare intervention by the state in Portugal can contribute to make the Portuguese economy more resilient to economic shocks and structural change and in this way promote faster economic growth and higher living standards for all and lead to a more inclusive society.

The project brings together researchers and students from three different Portuguese higher education and research institutions. The Centre for Business and Economics Research (CeBER) located at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) is the proponent institution and the project partners include NIPE, University of Minho and the UECE, ISEG - UL.

The project is coordinated by Marta Simões and Adelaide Duarte from CeBER.
