Submission Guidelines and Portal

Submission Guidelines

The language of the conference is English. Proposals are for Oral Communications of 20 min followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion, and should consider the potential interest to the multidisciplinary character of the conference and participants. The core of the proposal should be between 300-500 words, an abstract of 150 words, indicating also 5 keywords that characterize the contribution. You may also include up to three pages of supporting material, such as graphic images, data summaries, musical examples, or lists of publications referenced in the core of the proposal. Any text in the supplementary examples and captions should serve only to illuminate arguments already present in the core of the proposal; it should not introduce new examples, explanations, or evidence.

Each proposal will be read and evaluated anonymously by at least three members of the Scientific Board; proposals recommended by those readers will also be evaluated anonymously by members of the Program Committee. The identity of the presenter should be concealed in the proposal and in the supplementary material. Refer to your own published work in the third person, as if it had been written by another scholar with the same surname as you.

Remote Presentation

Conference organisers seek to maximize in-person participation, as the best way to foster social fluidity, reciprocal exchange and community formation. Recognizing also that some scholars with valuable research to share may be limited by financial, geographical, or physiological constraints, the conference is reserving a limited number of slots for remote presentation. Presenters applying to fill one of those slots should complete the survey and submit it prior to May 20.
